Today's exciting Fall trend involves fun and funky Fall footwear. We've already seen and discussed Fall's new "it" color and accessories trend and seen how colors are affecting Fall fashion. Today's discussion is all about shapes, primarily the chunky heel. The chunky heel was been gaining momentum since last year's Jeffrey Campbell obsession. I must admit, the chunky heel was not my cup of tea for a while and Campbell's Lita made be scratch my head. I eventually caved and tried on a pair and instantaneously I was a woman obsessed. The chunky heel was an easy way to change the entire look of every outfit and made even the flowiest dresses suddenly edgier. This Fall we are seeing other designer's catch on to Campbell's bandwagon. Just as the chunky heel bootie evolved from the wedge, we are seeing the chunky heel evolve into pumps and even sneakers with the new flatform trend. Chanel jumps on the bandwagon with a classy black patent bootie with the chunkiest of heels while we see Michelle Williams modeling Louis Vuitton's chunky pump as a departure from the platform wedge of last year. We see the trend continue to adapt into other designer's collections as well including Prada, Steve Madden, and countless others, becoming one of the easiest trends to spot in the issue.
